toxic

A heartache isn’t a physical sort of ache. It wraps you from around the chest and almost constricts your breath; you need to take long, hard gasps of breath and even then you don’t feel like there’s enough oxygen in your lungs. It’s a sort of warp in your mind; you wish with all your soul that this is not happening, that time would turn back and you see flashes of your memories and you hold on to them so tightly wishing that if you could just focus hard enough, time would turn back.

This is not happening.

That want, that kind of wishing.

A heartache.
